Anne Bancroft THE GRADUATE


Most brilliant seduction in cinematic history!!!
I can honestly say that Anne Bancroft in 1967 formed what has ever since been my frame for comparison of the female breast!
I was underage and had to sneak into the local theater to see "The Graduate", at the time it was almost rated X because of its' subject matter and Miss Bancrofts' nudity. Ain't that a hoot by today's standards?
My first impression was that I had been graced to view the woman God might return to earth for. I had never dreamed anyone could be so beautiful. I fell in love and am still in lust over 30 years later. I now know that a body double was used for her two breast shots which I doubt lasted a total of a tenth of a second but to me it will always be the Bancroft breast and no other will ever be so perfect!!! Besides what does a 13 year old know about body doubles in 1967!!! By the way should you decide to recapture your youth as I do once a year at least by watching this movie or maybe you want to see why I was so excited by the Bancroft breast, what nudity there is is at the 15 minute mark and you will have to very carefully use your freeze frame one frame at a time or you will miss it entirely.
In 1967, that wasn't possible but I luckily was the best friend of the owner of the local theater and we spent 16 hours over 3 nights slowly feeding the film through the camera until we finally managed to stop it on the 2nd of two single frames where her breast was visible. I didn't sleep for two nights but to avoid being obscene I will leave to your imagination why a 13 year old couldn't sleep!!!!
Finally, everyone who went to the theater for the fourth anf final showing the night after we located our breast, were ever so lucky to also see the Bancroft boob because all of our back and forth use of the reel had damaged the tape and it stopped with a perfect view for all to see for almost 10 seconds before the hot bulb burnt through the film. I swear I still hear some of the men in town occasionally talk about that night with smiles on their faces. (aubear)
